Tropical Sunsets Carnival
In English below.

In English.
During the last weekend of August we left for a trip called Tropical Sunsets Carnival with Hangout Mexico to a beach in the state of Guerrero. On Thursday me, Dani, Diego, Gabriel, Xudy (Gabriel's girlfriend) and Xudy's friend Andrea, together with two busses filled of people, left towards the Pacific Ocean. It was a full-on party bus, but we did get some sleep in the early morning when they turned out the lights and music. The trip took 10 hours so by the time we arrived in Playa Ventura, Copala it was already morning.
We spent all of Friday on the beach. The waves were super big so we didn't go deep into the water, even though the water was super warm. It was also hot, and despite having sunscreen my skin started to turn red... The beach was very long and we were the only people there. Playa Ventura/Copala is a small town and apparently the season was over, so we had the luxury to enjoy a peaceful beach all to ourselves.
At night it was time for party. The party started with the rain we are all already so used to with it being the rainy season, but luckily it didn't last long and we got to continue the party on the beach. The party on Friday was a white party and later we got some neon face paints as well. Around midnight we got some sparklers and floating lanterns that we let into the air. The night was really magical.
On Saturday we left to another beach that was about 10 minutes away with the bus. We stayed there all day. Some people had only arrived on Saturday morning and we met three other Brazilians. The day was spent enjoying the beach again. The waves were big, water warm, and the sun was extremely hot. There was a big rock on the beach where we were supposed to go watch the sunset, but unfortunately it started raining a lot so we went back to the hotel.
On Sunday we still had time in the morning to enjoy the beach before heading back to Mexico City around 3pm. On the way we could see jungle, banana-, papaya- and melon vendors, and rivers and mountains. We arrived in Mexico City only at midnight and I Ubered home. The trip was really relaxing and successful and I'm happy that I went! It was amazing to be at the beach and enjoy the sun. There was no signal or wifi at the beach so it was a real zone off weekend.
Last week we just had a normal week at work. On Thursday we went to immigration again and on the way had some churros in one of the oldest churrerias in Mexico, El Moro. Thursday is a party day here so in the evening we went to a party in Polanco with the Brazilians we met on the trip. There was a big group of Brazilians, a few Mexicans and me and Diego. It was pouring rain outside (actually the city even flooded), but we just danced the night away inside.
On Friday we organized a get together with my flat mates. We had decided with Fer and Israel to do something together, because the house is always quite and us three only meet in the kitchen. We bought some beers and were joined by the landlord brothers. We talked about everything between the earth and the sky and at the end of the evening went to eat in a nearby taco place. The food was amazing! Thanks to the suggestion of the others I tried a gringa, two flour tortillas stuffed with cheese and pastor meat, which is kind of like kebab meat. I will definitely go there again!
On Saturday we met with the other AIESEC ITAM interns Edith and Matheus. We were supposed to go to a Brazilian bazar event, but the food was already finished there so instead we just went to eat elsewhere. Afterwards we went to Diego's place where we played cards and got to know each other a bit better.

Of course there was another party on Saturday. This time it was Mardi Gras-themed. We were distributed colorful necklaces and had to try and get them from others. The person who managed to get the most necklaces won a free trip and a bottle of tequila.
